My name is Michael and I was born in 1947 without any complications.  Infant life for me was pretty uneventful until age 2.  I was having some difficulty with infection in my tonsils and received an injection of penicillin, the miracle cure.  Thirty minutes later my mother and father were rushing me to the ER where the family physician met us in the doorway of the hospital and plunged a syringe into my chest to inject epinephrine.  I was then packed in ice and a lot of prayer was conducted in support of my life.  From what I have been told, I was quite purple and my tongue was swollen to the point it was jutting from my mouth.  Yep, an allergic reaction which nearly killed me.  From that point forward, I was plagued with asthma and multiple other allergies for which I received weekly injections.  This injection protocol followed me throughout my life and I even began injecting myself after demonstrating my technique to my doctor's nurse.  This saved me time and a little money as I could take the serum home.  

Over the years my allergies seemed to change in sensitivity and old ones did not seem to bother me as much, but new ones that showed up on the scene were worse than any of the other allergies.  I was so tired of the shots and wanted to find something else that would help with this curse.  I went to hear a homeopathic physician talk one evening to explain this type of medical model so I thought I would give it a try.  It really made sense to me and if it worked, well, goodbye injections.  It worked some, but not enough because I had to stop teaching the aerobics class I was currently involved in.  I simply could not exhale enough to get that good full breath, so back to the injections again. 

A few years later I heard about this quantum biofeedback device that was doing so much good for so many people in my community so I contacted the operator of this device and went in for a visit.  Even though I am a therapist I was still a little puzzled.  I clearly wanted to improve my allergy condition; yet, during the session we spent so much time talking about relationships and emotions.  Later, I figured out that my biofeedback had indicated stress responses regarding these emotions. I felt much better after my session so I dove headlong into finding out more about this wonderful program.   

The short story is I purchased the LIFE System program and incorporated it into my counseling service.  While doing this I continued to provide feedback to myself for the allergies. You guessed the next piece by now right?  In 3 to 4 months I was no longer taking any allergy medicine at all....NOTHING! Now, nearly three years later, my life continues with the same success. 

In my practice, I apply biofeedback whenever appropriate and with the full blessing of the parents or patient, if an adult.  The results are wonderful.  Supporting the immune system in a way it can reduce allergic reactions has a profound effect on many other issues my clients have been dealing with.  I can only pray this blessing to all others who are struggling with the effects of the difficult stressors we face every day.
